Description of this Blog

This is a backup Blog. The real blog is located at www.geeksontour.blogspot.com. For 2003-2006 I posted this blog to my hosted space at www.jimandchris.com. By the end of 2006, Blogger/Google changed their whole blogging system and made it much more advantageous to publish on their free blogspot servers, so I moved the *whole* blog to Blogspot.

This made me very nervous. I've been accustomed to having FTP access (something under my control) to all my blog files and photos. With the new Blogspot system, I'm still hosting the photos on www.jimandchris.com, but the blog itself is out of my reach.

This is my workaround. For every post I make in 2007 to geeksontour.blogspot.com, I will also make it here. (actually, I'll make the post here first because uploading photos will be easier - then I'll copy the html and paste it into the geeksontour.blogspot.com blog)

The end result is this:
Entire 'Live' Blog from 2003 to present will be located at geeksontour.blogspot.com
2003-2006 Blog still exists at www.jimandchris.com/weblog/blogger.html
2007 Blog will exist at www.jimandchris.com/weblog07/index.html
Each year I will start a new 'backup' blog.
